R257-1.Purpose: To provide guidelines for the establishment of institutional policy and standards for the maintenance of class schedules.

R257-3.Policy
3.1. Faculty to Maintain Class Schedules: Schedules of classes at Utah System of Higher Education institutions shall be maintained. Presidents and institutional Boards of Trustees shall develop appropriate rules and procedures to effectuate this policy. Any faculty member dismissing classes or failing to meet assigned schedules without institutional authorization shall be subject to disciplinary action including admonition, warning, censure, probation, loss of pay, suspension, non renewal of their appointments, dismissal, or other appropriate discipline.
